Not your average Reverb unit!
Supro was a brand manufactured by Valco, the Chicago company behind a whole family of vintage brands including National, Airline and others. In the early-to-mid 1960s Valco was experimenting heavily with standalone spring reverb and reverb-equipped amplifiers.
The sound of this Reverberation is quite different from a Fender-style reverb. Valco's implementation tends toward a deep, splashy, somewhat unruly wash, rather than an extremely clean studio-like spring sound. Players describing these old units often emphasize their unusual, atmospheric character.
